How to make a puzzle from a picture
- Choose a photo — or drop it on the page, or paste it with Ctrl+V. No photo handy? Try one of the samples.
- Pick the number of pieces and the shape: classic jigsaw pieces or simple squares.
- Drag each piece onto the board. It snaps in when it’s close to its place.
- Stuck? Press Shuffle to spread the loose pieces out again, or keep the hint picture on.
Photo puzzle ideas
- For kids — a photo of their pet or a family day out, 12 or 24 squares.
- For a birthday or anniversary — play a shared photo together, or print it as a surprise gift to cut out.
- For the classroom — a map or a diagram as a quick team puzzle.
- For a challenge — a busy landscape at 150 pieces with the hint picture off.
Printing your own jigsaw puzzle
Download the printable puzzle and print it on photo paper or plain paper at full size. Glue the sheet to thin card or a cereal-box panel, press it flat under a book until dry, then cut along the lines with scissors or a craft knife. For a sturdier puzzle, cut squares rather than jigsaw shapes.

For a paper activity without cutting, make a coloring page from your photo and print its black outlines on white. Or turn the picture into pixel art for a retro design you can download as a PNG.
